Wally Wood was and still is considered one of the true masters of comic book drawing, , working in the 60s and 70s.
His work included stops at DC and Marvel and even Mad magazine.

One of his most famous creations is the "22 Panels That Always Work". One curious note. It seems he never really created the document you see below. They are his panels, and he refered to them often, but they may never have existed as a single documment. After his death, the panels were collected and consolidated as you now see them.
In any case, they have been in use as a reference document for generations of artists. And remain useful today.
